Each of the dogs I have had was proficient at squeaker removal. The dangerous part of that is the synthetic cotton usually comes first. So far, none have really swallowed much, if any.

That goes for the new puppy we received as a gift for Christmas. Her name is Lucy and she is an Australian Sheperd. I am teaching her frisbee. We play the old sandlot style game of $5. If she catches in the air, she gets $1. As it hits the ground $0.75. If she passes $5 she wins. She had to take some time off because she has been recovered from being spayed. She is doing great now. Back to normal.

More dog issues I’m afraid. Buddy is sick and tested positive for a rare parasite. He is on meds for that. Lucy prob also has it(waiting on test results. Apparently, it is from raccoons coming into the yard. So squirrels no longer have corn or soot cakes. But I think they/it is still coming back.

Buddy was found to have cancer in the liver. The Dewormer made him sick but he soldiered through and took most. He was also found to have a kidney infection. He had a swollen face and paws. Had quit eating and drinking barely any water. After steroids and antibiotics, he is improved. Eating and drinking. Such a good boy. Please pray for him.

Due to the tragic loss of Buddy I will mostly post updates for our Australian Sheperd Lucy on this Blog

Been hard getting over the loss of Dazee then a couple months later Buddy. Lucy has been challenging for sure. She has gotten good at catching Chuck-it and frisbees.

Lucy has improved. Still not real good around strangers.
